Google Chrome out of Beta

The Old Version
The New Version

Google's Browser Chrome is out of Beta and into it's version 1.0.

I have a lot of expectations from this release and wondering if Goog will stand up to them. For one, I don't want Chrome hanging when attempting to play Youtube Vids.

Google Earth to Nokia Maps (.kml to .lmx)

- Start off in Google Earth. Select your location and save it. Be sure to save as .kml and not .kmz.
- Next, go to this website: http://poiconvert.free.fr/
- For the source format, select .kml
- Next upload your file.
- Finally, select your output format. You can choose formats for TomTom (.ov2), Garmin (.asc) and Nokia Maps (.lmx). I can’t test TomTom or Garmin, so I’ll talk about Nokia Maps.
- Send the .lmx file to your phone. I sent the file with bluetooth for ease of use. You can also plug in the USB cable and then transfer the file, then open it with a file explorer. You can also email the file to yourself as an attached file.
- Open the .lmx file and Nokia Maps will start up and find the location.

You're done. Check out more tips here.

A dozen reasons to bury your iPhone!!

Here are a dozen reason why you should think before getting the iPhone. And I am not counting that you can't change the battery yourself. Only Apple can.

1. You can only sync music and video through iTunes.
2. You can only install apps through iTunes.
3. Apple deletes useful applications.
4. Apple might not accept apps which might be detrimental to its own business.
5. You can only run one third-party application at a time.
6. Apple might not allow app vendors to open up their apps.
7. Limited Bluetooth use.
8. No copy-paste.
9. No MMS.
10. No video recording.
11. No voice command.
12. Hardware locked to carriers.

iPhone 3G unboxing, and review by PCMAG videos

Hasselblad announces a 50 Mega Pixel camera

When it comes to professional digital cameras, the top name is not Nikon or Canon, it is Hasselblad and they have recently announced their 50 MP, yes thats 50 Mega Pixel camera model H3DII-50, but the price is not announced yet. But we can guess the approximate price if we know that their older model H3DII-39 with 39 mega pixel and lesser features, costs 37,000 US$. That's a lot of moolah for a camera, if you ask me.

It features a 36.8×49.1mm Kodak sensor, which is much larger than most DSLR cameras and a RAW format images will be around 65 MB. A 2 GB card will be able to hold just about 31 images.
Surely out of my pocket range. Read on here . Or check out their virtual demo here.

The Flip Ship, actually flips !!

The FLIP (FLoating Instrument Platform) Ship actually flips to study wave sciences. It studies the way water circulates, how storm waves are formed, how seismic waves move, how heat is exchanged between the ocean and the atmosphere, and the sound made underwater by marine animals are just a few of the subjects studied using the amazing FLIP.

The living quarters are designed to work vertically as well as horizontally as can be seen from the pic above. Check it out here..
