MIT Wizards Zap Electricity Through the Air

Power cords and chargers may be on their way to the grave, their days could be numbered, all because of a breakthrough at MIT. It's called "WiTricity," and it's the transfer of power through the air, without wires. It was demonstrated by a team of researchers from MIT's Department of Physics, Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and Institute for Soldier Nanotechnologies, and was reported in Science Express.
